Blue Sky Sod is dedicated to growing the finest quality turfgrass available.
With years of experience, state-of-the art equipment, and fine-tuned irrigation systems, we have developed the highest quality sod varieties for the climates and for the conditions to meet both commercial and residential needs.
All Blue Sky Sod is available in pallets, small rolls, and large rolls.
St. Augustine
Primarily a residential grass, St. Augustine is a hardy, medium to fast growing grass that spreads by long, above-ground runners (or stolons). Its fast-growing nature and drought tolerance have contributed to its wide-spread usage.

Color: Deep Green, Sometimes Blue-Green
Texture: Dense turf with a coarse texture
Sun/Shade Tolerance: St. Augustine tolerates moderate levels of shade, but will become thin under dense shade conditions.
Watering: Best suited to humid climates, St. Augustine needs regular (at least weekly) watering for optimal appearance but it can survive drought conditions.
Mowing Height: 2" — 4" St. Augustine requires mowing approximately every 2 weeks in early Spring and as often as every 5 days by late Spring / early Summer.

419 TIF Bermuda
419 TIF Bermuda is an extremely popular variety of Bermuda grass for sports fields, parks, and golf courses. Its texture and resilience make it very popular for creating a “park like” environment at home.

Color: Dark green
Texture: Dense turf with a medium to fine
Sun/Shade Tolerance: 419 Tif Bermuda can withstand heavy traffic. It prefers full sun and is drought resistant.
Watering: 419 Tif Bermuda tolerates drought but needs water regularly (at least weekly) to remain green.
Mowing Height: 1 – 2” Bermuda requires initial mowing (after the danger of hard freezes has passed) to be lower than normal. Once the lawn has greened, mowing can be done to 1 – 2” weekly mowing height.

Blue Sky Sod is proud to offer Certified 419 TIF Bermuda.
All certified 419 TIF Bermuda has been field inspected. All Foundation, Registered, and Certified seed has met the requirement for other varieties and/or off types and carries the official label.

328 TIF Bermuda Best known for providing the high-traffic durability, resiliency, and smoothness needed for golf course greens, 328 TIF Bermuda is popular for both commercial usage and private residences.

Celebration Bermuda
A beautiful, soft, grass, Celebration Bermuda provides a durable, drought-resistant option for home owners, commercial landscapes, parks, golf courses and sports fields.

Sun/Shade Tolerance: Extremely heat and sun tolerant and more shade tolerant than common Bermuda
Watering: Celebration has proven its ability to thrive in hot, humid conditions. It tolerates drought but needs water regular (at least weekly) to remain green.

Only turfgrass producers licensed by Sod Solutions are authorized to grow Celebration for sale. All Celebration Bermudagrass grown and distributed across the United States is certified by local state crop certification agencies that provide rigid standards and regulations for production, harvesting, and handling, that when adhered to, ensure a genetically pure, high quality, "certified" product.

Texturf
A quality turf that is great for use in backyards, low maintenance areas, and in highly-maintained sports fields. Texturf recovers quickly in the Spring and stays green later in the Fall than common Bermuda.

Buffalo
Popular due to its low maintenance, extremely low water requirements, and natural “prairie” look, Buffalo grass is frequently used commercially along roadsides, highways, and in parks.

Color: Gray-green
Texture: Fine-leaved, native grass
Sun/Shade Tolerance: Buffalo grass requires 6 – 8 hours of sunlight daily.
Watering: A water-efficient grass with incredible durability, Buffalo grass can often survive on natural irrigation (rainfall).
Mowing Height: Buffalo grass little to no care. While individual leaf blades may grow to 8 – 10 inches in length, they fall over and give the turf a short appearance.
